Germany: Falun Gong "Information Day" in Hamburg (Photos)
By a German practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) Practitioners set up a booth with a yellow pavilion and sign reading Falun Gong in the middle of Hamburg's Monks Mountain Street. It was highly visible to everyone in the area. Many banners, as well as a re-enactment of organ harvesting, drew the interest of the passersby. Posters showed the face of a dead man whose face was contorted in pain. One could see that his chest had been cut open and than sutured shut.
Below the photos one could read the facts about organ theft, which is secretly and systematically performed by the Communist Chinese Party (CCP). Many people passed the booth, came to a stop, and read the information. Then they approached the table and signed the petition demanding an end to the atrocities perpetrated in China.
On Saturday June 7, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners arranged a demonstration in Hamburg's Gerhard-Hauptmann Square to inform people of the continued persecution of Falun Gong, including the latest incidents of vicious attacks on practitioners in New York's Chinatown in Flushing. The Chinese Consulate instigated these violent attacks on Falun Gong practitioners by inciting the Chinese community with hate propaganda. They alleged that Falun Gong was against the Sichuan earthquake relief efforts and against the collection of funds on behalf of the victims.
One student from the Harz Mountains in central Germany asked, "Is it really true that innocent people have bamboo sticks stuck into their fingers in China?" He was on a student trip to Hamburg and stopped at the booth with three fellow students. He was definitely shocked by the re-enactment in the torture cage, showing a person's hands pierced by bamboo barbs. "This is savage," said the youngster shaking in disgust. He continued, "This is unbelievable! I must definitely sign the petition."
Can you imagine being sentenced to forced labor for doing this?
While the youngster was signing without hesitation all the petitions--the call for an end to the organ harvesting in China, the petition to save a Chinese family denied asylum by the German courts and deported to China, and the "One Million Signature Drive Petition"--the other three wanted to hear more about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. "We in the Harz region have never been told about this. We did not know that such brutal human rights violations are being perpetrated in China," they said altogether. Before leaving, all four had signed all the petitions.
A group of young girls passing the booth came to an immediate halt in front of the re-enactment of organ harvesting. They wanted to hear all about what is happening in China. After they had signed, they noticed that boys from their group had signed ahead of them. One of the girls said, "Come and see, our classmates have already signed the petitions."
"Can we sign this?" asked a martial arts master who had lived for more than six years in a Buddhist temple in China. "I'm not surprised about the persecution, as the monks were visibly suppressed, too. It is time that the communist regime disappears. They are destroying China and its culture. The monks and the Falun Gong practitioners do not fight back, so they have become the Communist Party's victims. Yes, this is so ingrained into these people."
A member of a religious association saw the suffering depicted in the pictures and instantly grasped the magnitude of the persecution of Falun Gong in China. With great sympathy she said to the practitioners, "This can't go on. There will be a time when the suffering will end."
The "Information Day" activity provided an opportunity for many people, including some Chinese, to learn about the persecution of Falun Gong and receive informational materials. Some also had the opportunity to talk with Falun Gong practitioners. It was important that some misunderstandings, which had arisen because of the misinformation promulgated by the CCP, could be rectified. Many copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party were distributed.
Many practitioners from Hamburg and its surroundings were present for the activities. They all were of the opinion that it was a great opportunity to let more people know about the truth of the persecution of Falun Gong.
Reported "Technical Failure" Stops NTDTV Broadcasts to China
(Clearwisdom.net) It has been reported that NTDTV received a "technical failure" notice from Eutelsat. The notice said that, due to "technical failure" of the W5 satellite, NTDTV's broadcasts to China and other Asian regions had to stop at 6:47 a.m. on June 17. The restoration time is unknown. Falun Dafa practitioners in China and around the world, please help eliminate this interference with righteous thoughts.

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 14, 2008, approximately 3,000 Falun Gong practitioners and supporters held a large-scale parade and rally in Flushing, New York. Many passersby expressed their support for Falun Gong. Flushing resident Mr. Huang was one of them. Mr. Huang has been working in the educational field for many years. When he passed by the rally venue, he smiled and greeted Falun Gong practitioners with a thumbs-up gesture.
On June 14, 2008, Falun Gong practitioners held a large-scale anti-persecution parade in Flushing
Mr. Huang told the reporter, "Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted in China. It is a fact, nobody can deny it. Then when they are subjected to the unreasonable persecution, they are brave enough to resist the Chinese Communist regime, and step forward to speak for themselves. It is very precious and rare in China. If only for this point, I admire them."
Mr. Huang, originally from Sichuan Province, has been a teacher for many years. Regarding the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) instigating mobs to besiege and assault Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing, he said that the CCP intended to shift public focus away from its own responsibility related to the earthquake disaster in Sichuan, including its covering up the fact that there were earthquake predictions, and its failures in disaster relief afterwards.
He pointed out that there are three types of people involved in the attack on Falun Gong practitioners in Flushing. One includes those who have been directly used by the CCP, the CCP spies and thugs. Another type are children or relatives of senior Chinese officials in mainland China; that is to say, they are beneficiaries of the CCP tyranny. They have squandered Chinese people's hard-earned money here [in the United States]. They certainly work desperately for the CCP for the sake of their own benefits. The third type of people are those who have been deceived by the CCP; they do not have a high education level and their "patriotic" sentiment was instigated by the CCP and turned them into accomplices of the CCP. They are actually the victims of the CCP.
Mr. Huang discussed the issue of the CCP media falsifying reports of practitioners' banners, which originally read, "Heaven will eliminate the CCP," to "Heaven will eliminate China," in an attempt to frame Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Huang said that only two types of people held signs reading "Heaven will eliminate China." "One were those with ulterior motives, the others are idiots." He said that Falun Gong practitioners would absolutely not do such things. As the CCP was unable to find any evidence to prove that Falun Gong is not good, and as it could not justify its persecution of Falun Gong, so it fabricated lies.
Mr. Huang had learned about Falun Gong before the CCP started the persecution [in 1999]. Many of his friends practiced Falun Gong. Since the persecution began, these friends have been subjected to severe persecution for persisting in their belief in Falun Gong. Some cannot go home and live away from home to avoid the persecution.
Another Flushing resident who came to the U.S. a year ago said that there were Falun Gong practitioners in his previous workplace. He had seen their changes after practicing Falun Gong. For example, some people were selfish before, but they became no longer selfish after practicing Falun Gong. From their positive changes, he knew that Falun Gong is good.
He said that the United States is a free and democratic society and everyone here has the right to express their views. He feels that those people who attacked Falun Gong practitioners used indecent means, which are also illegal. He pointed out that even animals are able to protect their same species, but these mobs even attacked their own compatriots; they behaved worse than animals.
At the same time, he also pointed out that from a historical point of view, the CCP's suppression of Falun Gong is actually counter-productive. Instead of disappearing, Falun Gong has grown stronger and stronger.
He said, "We certainly do not want China to be in chaos, but we do not want to see that Chinese people are persecuted. You [Falun Gong practitioners] must keep up with your efforts, so China will have hope."
Before leaving, he told the reporter that he had withdrawn from the CCP, and when he goes back to China several months from now, he will tell people around him about what he had seen here in the United States.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mencius, a Chinese philosopher, advocated that a man of virtue should be benevolent in all his dealings. He professed the innate goodness and the moral character of the individual. He stressed that if one maintains goodness and diligently upgrades one's moral character, then one would mirror the morals of "Yao and Shun" [Yao and Shun were legendary Chinese rulers who upheld morality and were considered sages around 2358-2258 BC]. Mencius believed in truthfulness. He philosophized and discoursed on the merit of virtuous conduct. He never wavered and steadfastly advising others to do good. He did not give up easily once he set foot on a path and he was seen as truly inspirational and encouraging by many.
Mencius visited the King of Qi twice to advise him to rule the country benevolently, but his advice was not accepted both times. When Mencius left Qi the second time, Yin Shi of Qi told Mencius' student, Gao Zi, "It was foolish of Mencius to not realize that the King of Qi would never attain the leadership attributes of Shang Tang, King Wu of Zhou or others. Despite realizing that the king would never become a capable leader, Mencius did not give up. Does this suggest that he wanted to benefit himself? Mencius traveled from far away to meet with the king, and when he did not succeed in his quest, Mencius stayed in Zhou Yi and did not leave until three nights later. Why did he stay? I'm not very pleased with the things Mencius did." Gao Zi told Mencius Yin Shi's words after some time.
Mencius replied, "How could Yin Shi know what I was thinking? I traveled from far away to advise the King of Qi about how to rule a nation, and I did so willingly. When my suggestions were not accepted, I had to leave the king's presence. I stayed in Zhou Yi for three nights, even though three nights was too short. I waited to see if the king would summon me and I could then try to persuade him. However, when the king did not ask for my presence, I decided to leave. Although I left, I still held hopes that the King of Qi would accept my counsel. It is not too late for the king to govern the country benevolently. Should he be able to do that, he will bring peace to the people of Qi and the rest of the world. I still hold the hope that the king may change his mind. I'm not narrow-minded. Just because the king did not accept my advice, I hold no anger or discontent. I did not leave in a hurry, but gave the king the chance to ponder my suggestions."
After Yin Shi was told Mencius words, he said, "I'm such an ignoble person!"
Upon hearing that the King of Qi wanted to conquer the world with a military force, Mencius rushed to Qi for a third time and advised the king in the ways of ruling a nation. He finally succeeded in his quest and the king willingly chose benevolent governance over military force. Thus, a war was averted. Peace and order was restored in the nation of Qi.
Mencius traveled to others nations to promote moral values and benevolent governance. He told his students, "If you care about others, but they still remain aloof, then you should ask yourself if you are truly kind. If you advice others unsuccessfully, you should ask yourself if you are truly wise. If you are courteous to others but they do no reciprocate, then you should ask yourself if you are truly sincere. When you do something but do not get a response, don't complain about others. You should first look within and find where you have to change yourself."
The students asked Mencius why he did not become arrogant or subservient, and why he held no fear of the powerful and the upper class, he said, "Although he is wealthy, I am benevolent. Although he is of the upper class, I possess righteousness. So how could I hold resentment?"
Mencius thought that the difference between people is not a matter of being rich or belonging to the upper class versus being poor and of the lower class. It is whether one can maintain a noble character and conduct oneself as not to "feel shame before Heaven and fellow human beings." He believed that mankind should return to their kind nature and not be confused and misled by external material objects and desires. He understood that this requires to be resolute and persistent.
Today, the principles of the universe - Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, are being given to the world. Those with insight are practicing, disseminating, and clarifying the truth, in order to awaken people's conscience and give them the righteous choice of protecting and maintaining the truth. This is truly being responsible and concerned for others!
